Timing, upkeep and refresh appointments

Allow from 180 minutes, depending on length, thickness, and whether you are lightening previously coloured hair. Many clients maintain the look with a toner or gloss refresh and trim, then book a full balayage refresh when brightness needs rebuilding through the mid-lengths and ends.

Balayage looks best when the hair stays glossy and the tone stays clean. Expect product guidance for colour-safe cleansing, heat protection, and a weekly mask to keep the ends smooth and reflective.
