What a toner appointment delivers

A toner works like a colour "filter" that perfects the shade you already have, especially after lightening or as your colour fades.

Booking a toner on its own

A toner can be booked as a standalone appointment when your hair is already lightened and you want the tone to look fresh again, for example when blonde has turned yellow or balayage reads too warm after sun, heat styling or swimming. If you need lighter pieces, stronger grey coverage or banding corrected, a toner alone may not be enough, and your stylist may suggest a colour service first.

How a toner is selected, applied and timed

Your stylist will confirm your current tone and your goal shade, then select a toner to correct or enhance it. Toner is applied through the relevant areas, left to develop for a controlled time, then rinsed, conditioned and finished so you can see the true tone and shine.

Keeping your toner looking clean between visits

Toner longevity depends on porosity, heat styling and how often you shampoo. Use colour-safe shampoo and conditioner, limit very hot tools, and use a purple or blue toning product only as advised so you do not over-cool the colour. Many clients book a toner refresh every few weeks between larger colour appointments.
